Most homes are not insulated properly and any heat that escapes has to be paid for. Therefore, you should fully insulate your home to maximize energy efficiency and minimize your energy bills.
You probably didn't realise that round 50 per cent of heat loss in a typical home is through the walls and loft. The energy companies know this only too well but of course it's not in their interest to tell you. They would rather see you spending your hard earned money paying to heat your poorly insulated house. The more heat that escapes from your home the more you spend on heating the great outdoors and the more money your energy supplier will make from you.
Visit Official Website Easy Energy Saving NOW
Therefore, it is definitely worth checking whether your home is properly insulated otherwise you are wasting lots of money on heating fresh air. Upgrade your insulation and you will make big savings on your energy bills.
The following are just some areas where you can improve your home insulation to save energy and money:
1. Loft Insulation
Without loft insulation you could be losing as much as 25 per cent of your heating costs through your roof. Your money is literally disappearing into thin air. Insulating your loft is a simple and effective way to reduce your heating bills, which you can even do yourself. Estimated annual savings of $300 - $400.
2. Draught proofing
In a typical home 20 per cent of all heat loss is through poor ventilation and draughts. Huge savings can be made by adopting a few simple draught proofing measures in your homes. Estimated annual savings of $50 - $100.
3. Double Glazing
Double glazing cuts heat lost through windows by around half. Modernize your windows by replacing all your ordinary windows with argon filled, double-glazed windows to save around 2.5 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) per year for homes with gas heat, 4 tonnes for oil heat, and 10 tonnes for electric heat. Estimated annual savings of $250 - $400.
4. Cavity wall insulation
Around a third of all the heat lost in an un-insulated home is lost through the walls. Cavity wall insulation is a fantastic way to significantly reduce the amount of energy you need to heat your home.
Estimated annual savings of $250 - $350.
5. Floor Insulation
As we all know waking up in the morning can be difficult enough without having to endure the shock of an icy cold floor prickling at your toes. This problem is due to a lack of suitable floor insulation or gaps and draughts around skirting boards, which together can account for around 15 per cent of heat loss from your home. Both are simple to fix and here's how. Timber floors can be insulated by lifting the floorboards and laying mineral wool insulation (e.g. glass fibre quilt) supported by netting between the joists. Afterwards you should also fill all gaps between the skirting boards and the floor with sealant to block any remaining draughts. Estimated annual savings of $150 - $200.
There are many other areas in your home where you can improve insulation and save energy and money. Individually or in combination by using these techniques you will benefit with immediate reductions to your energy bills. Over the longer term your savings will run into thousands so now is the time to act particularly as global energy prices continue to rise.

With rising energy costs it is now a good time to invest in energy saving appliances. As your old devices age it is worth considering an energy efficient replacement. Fortunately international standards and labels, such as ENERGY STAR, have developed so you can ensure you are buying reliable energy saving products.
ENERGY STAR is an international standard for energy efficient electronic equipment. It was created by the US Environmental Protection Agency in 1992 and has now been adopted by several countries around the world, including the U.S. and Australia. Other similar labels include the EU Energy Label and the UK Energy Saving Recommended Label.
Governments across the globe are cooperating through the national energy saving programmes to encourage the use of energy efficient equipment at home and in business.
How do energy efficient products work?
Energy efficient products reduce the amount of energy consumed by either automatically switching the device into a 'sleep' mode when it's not being used and/or reducing the amount power used when in 'standby' mode.
Office equipment
While most office equipment now has the potential to save energy in this way, not all machines, particularly PCs, have actually been enabled so that the energy saving features are activated. Ask your IT or maintenance staff to help.
Home electronics products
ENERGY STAR home electronics products have their energy saving features already activated when you buy them. If your TV, VCR or DVD complies with the ENERGY STAR standard, it will consume around 75% less energy in standby mode than standard products do. Because products like these spend more than 60% of their time on standby, this can add up to a significant reduction in energy use.
What is 'standby' power?
Standby power is the electricity consumed by appliances when they are switched off or not performing their primary function. It's sometimes called leaking, vampire or phantom electricity.
Visit Official Website Easy Energy Saving NOW
If your computer, printer, fax or photocopier complies with the ENERGY STAR standard, it can automatically switch itself into a power saving sleep mode after a certain amount of idle time. In the case of computers, the monitor will go dark and other components, such as the hard disk and main processor, will reduce the amount of power they're using by about two thirds.
The time it takes for equipment to 'go to sleep' can easily be set to suit the way you work. And as soon as you need to use the equipment again, you can simply press a key or move the mouse and it 'wakes' up, ready to operate, with all your settings, programmes and documents exactly as you left them.
Why is it important?
Obviously, the best way to make sure a product is not consuming electricity when idle is to switch it off at the power point. Not only will this save you money; it can also reduce the risk of accidental fire.
But the fact is, standby power accounts for an increasing proportion of the world's energy use. In 'developed' countries, it can represent up to 12% of household electricity consumption. In Australia, standby power could be costing consumers around $500 million every year resulting in greenhouse gas emissions of more than 5 megatonnes (CO2 equivalent) annually. Worldwide, standby power is estimated to account for as much as 1% of global greenhouse emissions.
Most of the energy used by products on standby is not performing any useful function. A small amount can be needed for maintaining memory or an internal clock, remote control activation or other features. But most standby power is wasted energy. ENERGY STAR or similarly enabled products minimize this waste.
Did you know?
*
A computer and monitor (without ENERGY STAR enabled) left on for a year generate the same amount of CO2 as a car travelling from Sydney to Perth.
*
Printers spend approximately 95% of their time sitting idle.
*
Fax machines are often left on continuously, but their actual use time amounts to only about 1 hour per day. Screensavers do not reduce the power consumption of a computer monitor unless they actually turn the monitor off.
*
Home electronics products currently use anywhere between 1 watt and 20 watts on standby, and can be in this mode for between 16 and 22 hours per day.
ENERGY STAR and the environment
Global warming and climate change caused by increased greenhouse gas emissions are among the most serious environmental, economic, social and political issues ever to be confronted by society. ENERGY STAR equipment uses less energy meaning lower carbon dioxide emissions.
So you should look out for energy saving logos, such as ENERGY STAR, when purchasing new electrical equipment. By making a smarter choice you will save energy, reduce your energy bills and lower your carbon dioxide emissions.

Based on the successful practices of the U.S. ENERGY STAR partners, these guidelines for home energy efficiency can assist you in improving your home's energy and financial performance while distinguishing you as the most environmentally friendly household on the street. ENERGY STAR is a U.S. government backed program helping businesses and individuals protect the environment through superior energy efficiency.
STEP 1: Commit to Continuous improvement
People who see the financial returns from superior home energy efficiency continuously strive to improve their home's energy performance. Their success is based on regularly assessing energy performance and continually implementing steps to increase home energy efficiency. No matter the size or type of household, the common element of successful energy management is commitment. You should allocate a small amount of your monthly budget to achieve continuous improvement which will make you huge savings on your energy bills in the longer run.
STEP 2: Assess Your Home Energy Efficiency (Energy Performance)
Understanding your current and past energy use is how many families identify opportunities to improve energy performance and gain financial benefits. Assessing performance is the process of evaluating energy use for all major household functions and establishing a baseline for measuring future results of home energy efficiency efforts. You should prioritize poor performing facilities and equipment, such as tumble dryers, for immediate improvement.
STEP 3: Set Goals
Performance goals drive home energy efficiency and promote continuous improvement. Setting clear and measurable goals is critical for understanding your intended results, developing effective strategies, and reaping the financial gains. Communicating your goals will help motivate the rest of your family to achieve maximum home energy efficiency. Make sure goals are optimistic yet realistic.
STEP 4: Create Action Plan
With goals in place, you are now ready to increase your home energy efficiency. This should be regularly updated to reflect recent achievements. Decide what you are going to do? How you are going to do it? and, Who is going to do what? Bear in mind your budget. Brainstorm with other family member so everyone can get involved - it's especially good for children to get involved as young as possible.
STEP 5: Implement Action Plan
Carry out the changes, discuss the benefits and see your bills fall. Motivate your family to achieve the goals you set by offering incentives or treats for anyone who comes up with a new idea.
STEP 6: Evaluate Progress
Evaluating progress includes reviewing the activities carried out as part of the action plan as compared to your performance goals. Use the results to set new home energy efficiency goals. Identify additional savings opportunities as well as non-quantifiable benefits such as a cosier living room, a happier family and being able to have more money left over to spend on family luxuries.
STEP 7: Recognise Achievements
Take a step back and appreciate how you have increased your home energy efficiency. Give yourselves a pat on the back and put the extra money you've saved towards something you deserve like an extra family holiday. Feel good about doing your bit to help make your home more eco-friendly, lowering your carbon emissions and helping to protect the global environment.

Left in a sunny spot in the morning, the batteries in the charger will be fully charged by early afternoon ready to charge up your gadgets.
2. Electricity Monitor
Visit Official Website Easy Energy Saving NOW
An electricity usage monitor shows you how much electricity you use, how much the electricity costs, and how much carbon dioxide emissions you are contributing to the environment. You can use this information to reduce your electricity consumption and save around 25% on your electricity bill. Modern wireless versions are also now available for even greater convenience.
3. Night Lights
Night lights are an energy efficient way of keeping your kids happy at night time. They can run 24 hours a day for 365 days a year for under a dollar. Modern versions emit a cool blue green electro-luminescent light, perfect for night lighting in bedrooms, hallways and corridors. I bet you didn't even know such an energy saving device existed.
4. Energy saving light bulbs
A fantastic energy saving device, energy saving light bulbs are now cheaper than ever. In most homes, lighting accounts for around 10-15 per cent of an electricity bill. Traditional light bulbs waste a lot of their energy by turning it into heat. Each energy saving bulb can save you $15 a year. They also last, on average, up to 12 times longer than ordinary light bulbs.
5. Water saving spout
Save up to 70% of your usual water consumption with an automatic, touch-free auto spout which simply attaches on to your existing tap. The infrared sensors mean you just move your hands under the spout to activate the water-flow, making it a hygienic eco-friendly alternative to a conventional tap.
6. Creative showerhead
These are shower heads with a 'twist'. Basically you can now buy water saving shower heads which simply attach to your existing fitting, conserving water and energy without sacrificing pressure. These amazing showerheads can make water savings of between 30 and 70%. The shower head technology uses less water but the flow feels the same as it accelerates, energises and oxygenates the water.
7. Eco Kettle
It is estimated that, on average, we boil twice the volume of water needed every time, which means twice as much energy. An eco kettle accurately measures the amount of water to be boiled using an internal reservoir which holds a full capacity of water ready for use, while the measuring button allows the necessary quantity to be released into a separate chamber for boiling. The result is exactly the right amount of water every time. Another great energy saving device.
8. Toilet Water Saver
These devices consist of a plastic bag which sits in the toilet cistern conserving about 3 litres of water each time a toilet is flushed. When the toilet is flushed, the water confined in the bag is saved. If you find the bag impairs the flushing, you can usually cut off one of the bottom corners of the bag to make more space in the cistern. This saves approximately 33% of water used in a toilet, and 10% of total water used in a house.
9. Energy Saving Plug
This is a great energy saving device. Plug your PC into the master socket and extensions into the side plugs, and when your PC is switched off or on 'standby' the power will automatically be shut down to the extensions as well. Average annual electrical savings including the savings from speakers, and printer equal around 84KWh.
10. The Intelligent Mains Plug Panel
This fantastic energy saving device remembers to be eco-conscious even when you forget. Specifically made for desktop computers, it automatically switches power to connected peripherals off, when the computer is on stand by or has been turned off completely.

As global fuel prices continue to rise people are being forced to spend a greater proportion of their monthly budgets on energy bills. There has never been a more crucial time for households to think about energy saving solutions.
In 2008, after countless energy price hikes, people are finally beginning to realize that reducing their energy usage is as beneficial for their bank account as it is for conserving the environment.
The supply of valuable fossil fuels such as oil and gas is undoubtedly diminishing and the global demand for them is sky-rocketing out of control. As a result, we have all recently suffered huge energy price rises.
But despite dwindling energy reserves and excessive fuel demands energy giants are still reporting obscene profits. Shell last year announced record profits of $27.5 billion and that was when the cost for a barrel of oil was under $100. This year the cost of oil peaked in July at an incredible $147 a barrel, almost 50 per cent higher than the already over-inflated prices seen in 2007. Shell claim they are investing a lot of their profits in finding new reserves. However, when they are reportedly making well over $75 million each day, one should surely be forgiven for thinking they can easily afford such investments. More to the point with all that profit our energy costs should be falling not rising.
As usual it is us the humble consumer who is penalized by the rising price of global commodities with higher energy and fuel costs.
What's the solution?
We can't control global economics and most of us do not have an oil well in our back yard. However, to a large extent we can control the amount of energy we use. In particular we can start by maximizing the energy efficiency (i.e. minimize energy usage) of our homes. Visit http://www.easyenergysaving.com
Households spend on average around 10 per cent of their annual income on home energy bills. Using a few simple techniques usually overlooked, annual utility bills can be cut by around 75 per cent. These 'no-cost' or 'low-cost' measures often offer the best and most cost-effective solution to the energy problem with relatively short payback periods:
*
Home Energy Audits - easy to carry out and useful to identify areas for improvement. Focus on areas that are least energy efficient, such as un-insulated lofts, single glazed windows, open fireplaces and energy 'eating' appliances (e.g. tumble dryer).
*
Home Improvements - include loft insulation, wall insulation, draft proofing, and double / treble glazing (can generate total savings of around $1,000 a year).
*
Heating System solutions - include adjusting programmers, fitting thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs) and lowering thermostats (lowering your room thermostat by just 1°C can save you over $100 a year).
*
Energy Saving Products include energy saving light bulbs and home appliances such as tumble dryers and fridge/freezers (can generate total savings of up to $500 a year).
*
Other techniques include changing your energy supplier and seeking financial assistance for energy efficient upgrades from governments or other bodies.
These simple solutions are cheap and easy to implement and, unlike more costly solutions such as solar power, do not require massive investment. They can quickly generate significant reductions to annual energy bills whilst lowering carbon dioxide emissions.
Jane Longton, Orlando, Florida fitted loft insulation, double glazing, and draft proofing in 2007 and her annual energy bills have fallen by more than $900. Energy efficient upgrades also have the benefit of providing year on year savings once installed and they enhance property saleability.
According to the U.S. government global energy demand is set to rise 54 per cent by 2025 so, unfortunately, we are likely to see many more uncapped energy price rises over the next few years. By reducing home energy consumption any future increases in global fuel cost will have less impact on the energy bills of those who have made some sensible changes.

Selepas ditetapkan hari kahwinnya, maka lancar je jawab nikahnya si Mamat tadi. Biasalah malamnya agak lewat sikit keluarga Haji Dollah masuk tidurnya pasal dok berkemas rumah lepas kenduri siangnya.
Maka, Pak Haji Dollah pun suruhlah menantunya tu solat sendirian ketika ahli keluarga lainnya sedang berwirid. Si Mamat pun qamat dan dirikanlah solat subuhnya. Ada satu famili. Satu hari sedang menantu lelaki tengok TV, bapa mertua lalu di depan. Tiba-tiba bapa mertua rebah sambil memegang dada.

P . E . R . N . I . A . G . A . A . N … bunyinya apa?… PERNIAGAAN …
Perniagaan Internet
Program Internet
Pelaburan Internet

From Sin Chiew Daily. Letter from the thief who stole the Selangor Chief of Police's car last week.
A letter from a car thief
2010-05-10 11:31
Dear Datuk,
I really did not know that it was your car.
Please believe me that I really did not realise that it was a police chief's official car.
However, why was it my target among so many cards in Selangor? Moreover, it was only an ordinary Proton.
Please do not blame me. Even though it was an inadvertence, there was a reason behind it.
Our industry has been rapidly grew in recent years and there are markets for new, old, domestic, imported, luxury and ordinary cars.
Even if it is just an old Proton, some of its parts can still be sold for money.
That was also why your car was targeted that day.
Please do not blame the poor anti-theft system, and do not be angry with the additional car security system. In fact, these devices are just decorations for car thieves in Malaysia. They are not even a challenge for us.
Even for expensive security equipment, which is usually installed in luxury cars with satellite tracking system that can stop engine operation, we can still break it within the first 10 minutes, drive it onto a container another 10 minutes later, send it to Port Klang after another 20 minutes and it takes another 10 minutes to ship it to foreign country.
As for your car, it required only 2 minutes.
The business is too good while the crime detection rate...I am sorry, but I think we do not need to mention more about it.
In terms of the rate of return, it is indeed a non-risky business with extraordinarily high returns that does not require any capital at all. It is certainly the most promising industry in Malaysia with the largest development space.
Even during the national economic doldrums, it can still contribute to the country's economic growth.
For example, the second-hand spare parts market, from engines to cup holders, is largely relying on our supply.
Also, we can earn a lot of foreign exchange if we sell the cars to foreign
countries.
The high stolen car rate and low crime detection rate also led to the development of the insurance industry. We should also be credited for the increase of premiums.
Datuk, if you do not want your car to be stolen again next time, the only way is to write a note stating your identity and display it on your dashboard. We would be very delighted to give you our full cooperation.
Also, I saw that police forensic officers were trying to search for clues in the car. It was a tough work for them for sure.
I forgot to leave another note to tell you that I had actually asked someone to thoroughly wash your car for a few times.
If fingerprints are found, you may get the samples from the Immigration. They belong to a Bangladesh.
I had removed the Global Positioning System (GPS) in your car to avoid leaving any record. Initially, I was planning to install a more advanced system for you, but as I was in a bit of rush this time, so maybe next time.
If you suddenly find a new navigation system in your car one day, please take it as a gift from me. You do not have to know when your car is being touched again and I promise, I will not cause any damage to the lock of the door any more next time.
As for the command baton, just give it to me as a souvenir. I like it very much as every night before going to bed, I can imagine myself waving the baton and leading the Royal Malaysian Police to work hard.
P/S: I think it is time for you to change another car!
Yours sincerely,
Car thief
