Obviously things like evening lighting may be required before the night rate starts and there is not much you can do about changing the time lighting is required (except install low-energy light bulbs and fittings). Functions that can be moved to 'off-peak' hours include night storage heaters, hot water immersion heaters, dish washers, clothes washers, tumble drying, slow cookers ('crock pots'), air conditioning and appliances on charge such as mobile phones.
All of these and many other functions can be done overnight with just a little prior planning. You could even get up ten minutes earlier to do the vacuum cleaning or ironing before 0730hrs so that you benefit from the cheaper tariff. Also If you have an electric hot water cylinder with an immersion heater, replace it with a dual immersion heater and make use of off-peak electricity - this will save you money.
Understanding dual tariff energy charges is a great first step towards making your home more energy efficient. A few simple changes to your daily habits and routines will bring you substantial savings in the short to long term as well as helping you beat the global energy crisis.

When it comes to efficient home heating the aim should be to waste as little fuel and heat as possible. Most people don't even realise how important their heating controls are, or, how, by making some slight adjustments, big energy bill savings can be achieved.
Using heating controls correctly is the easiest way to keep rooms at a comfortable temperature. Fitting the correct heating controls could typically save around $250 - $350 a year. What's more, the combination of fitting a condensing boiler together with a full set of heating controls could save around $500 - $700 a year.
Heating controls allow three important elements to be controlled:

When the heating is on.
2.
How warm it is.
3.
Where you want the warmth.
They will also make sure that the boiler is only turned on when it needs to be. What makes a full set of heating controls?
A properly controlled heating system should typically have a time programmer and a room thermostat, or, a combined programmable room thermostat, plus thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs). A cylinder thermostat is also recommended if a regular condensing boiler with a hot water cylinder is installed.
Programmers allow you to set when the heating and hot water come 'On' and go 'Off' again. By installing a programmer, and heating your home and hot water only as and when necessary, you will save energy and money. These can be either manually or digitally operated.
A room thermostat constantly measures the air temperature of a space and can be set to whatever temperature suits you best. They are usually in halls, stairs or landing areas to sense the average temperature of a home's main living spaces. When the temperature falls below the setting, the thermostat switches on the central heating; once the room reaches the set temperature, the thermostat switches the heating off. Please note that the heating needs to be switched on for the thermostat to work.
A programmable room thermostat lets you choose the times you want your home to be heated and the temperature you want it to reach whilst it is on. In other words, it allows you to heat rooms or the whole house to different temperatures in your home at appropriate times of the day and week. And again, by heating your home and hot water only as and when necessary, you will save energy and money. Similarly to the heating programmer these may be digitally or manually controlled.
Savings and costs
Ideally you should time your heating to go off 30 minutes before you leave the property, and come on again 30 minutes before you are due to return. Thermostats should be set at the lowest comfortable temperature - typically between 18°C and 21°C (64°F and 70°F). Lowering a thermostat by just 1°C could save around $100 - $140 a year.
Manual room thermostats cost in the region of $25 - $40, digital room thermostats cost $40 - $120 and digital wireless room thermostats cost around $140 - $200. This does not include the installation cost - some wiring may be required. Consult a suitably qualified electrician if necessary. Digital programmers allow even more accurate temperature control so savings are larger.
Many people have a full set of heating controls installed but do not optimise them to maximise their energy savings. You should take a little time to find out what each control does. If you have any of these controls already refer to the instruction manuals that came with them for specific advice on your particular make and model. If you don't have any manuals to hand, copies can usually be downloaded from manufacturers' websites.

Is your boiler energy efficient?
Put simply: If it's 10-15 years old then it probably isn't.
What sort of boiler do you have at the moment?
To differentiate between a condensing boiler and a non-condensing boiler the best way is to look at the flue (exhaust) that sticks out from the outdoor wall adjacent to your boiler, and, the type of waste heat it lets out into the atmosphere.
If the flue is made of plastic and lets out visible steam when the boiler is firing, then congratulations, you are likely to have a condensing boiler already. If the flue is made of metal and no steam is visible, you are likely to have a non-condensing boiler. These older boilers let out much hotter gases that are invisible to the naked eye - and would melt a plastic flue.
Are condensing boilers overcomplicated and unreliable?
In a word, no. The main difference is that condensing boilers have a larger heat exchanger and the condensing process requires a means by which the condensed water can be drained away. But this shouldn't cause any problems if the boiler is fitted properly by a registered installer.
Over the longer term by replacing or upgrading your heating system your savings will run into thousands so now is the time to act, particularly as global energy prices continue to sky rocket.

Mesir sekat sempadan ..the only way ke Gaza . Makanan dan ubatan2 sume rosak kat sempadan Mesir-Gaza. Sempadan Gaza and Mesir is 14 km long. Kalau lah tak de sekatan, rakyat Palestine takkan kebuluran... "Mesir lebih rela bersempadan dgn Israel drp bersempadan dengan Hamas!" – Apa punya manusia ni, kata Razali Awang.
Khutbah Jumaat di Mesir mengharamkan khutbah mengenai keganasan di Gaza . Razali btau rakyat Palestin yg dia interview, kat Malaysia tiap Jumaat kami bacakan Qunut Nazilah dan bersolat hajat demi kesejahteraan rakyat Palestine … Berapa banyak checkpoint dia kena lalui kat Mesir…tapi dgn pertolongan Allah SWT lepas pulak..tapi perit nya..yg mintak rasuah…charge naik bas 500 meter is RM70!!! Memang pengecut sebab tak berani perang one to one ngan Hamas. Kat darat hanya duduk dlm kereta kebal. Pastu serang ngan bom pintar, bom fosforus dari jarak jauh. Dia org tau Hamas ada penembak tepat! So, depa takut nak turun dari kereta kebal.
Kereta kebal Israel musnahkan tanaman seperti anggur dan pokok zaitun sebab tanaman ni makan masa bertahun nak tumbuh balik. Biar rakyat Palestine kebulur dan tak de sumber pendapatan. Semua resolusi PBB, satu pun Israel tak ikut!!! Ada back-up besar lah katakannn...

Sedih Razali tengok dia org rebus rumput sebab dah tak de makanan. Kanak2 tiada cita-cita lain selain dari ingin menjadi pengebom berani mati kerana trauma melihat ahli keluarga dibunuh di depan mata sendiri!
Di hospital, pembedahan, jahit kulit ke apa ke…terpaksa dibuat tanpa bius. Sebab ubat dah tak de. Razali kata tak tahan dia tengok budak2 menjerit2 kesakitan bila kepala di jahit!
Dia jugak pergi sendiri ke dewan bedah yg telah dibedil dgn bom fosforus ..sebelum serangan ada few doctors sedang bedah pesakit….Razali kata tak de apa yg tinggal ..semua dah jadi abu!!! Ada la nampak serpihan tulang sikit2 here and there…Fosforus ni dia hancurkan kulit dan tulang…Nauzubillah. Ada banyak lagi..but too long to write. Razali Awang memang volunteer nak pergi ke Gaza ...So, inilah yg diceritakan oleh beliau.
Satu lagi antara pembekal rifle ke Israel selain dari USA is negara jiran kita ni ha...yg paling dekat...SINGAPURA! So Razali kata kalau kita shopping kat sana mcm kita sokong Israel .
So friends, kita terus doa dan berdoa utk keselamatan saudara Islam kita di mana jua mereka berada..
